Over the last several years, our half-day program has become a ‘go-to’ event among industry leaders in the real estate capital markets space and draws a sophisticated audience of Real Estate Fund Managers, REIT Executives, Real Estate Investors, and Investment Bankers.
Our keynote presentation this year will be delivered by Austan Goolsbee, former chairman of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers and former chief economist for the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board. Goolsbee is also a Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Goolsbee’s broad experience as an educator and economist will lend a unique perspective to our program.
Mr. Goolsbee will be joined by an exceptional group of experts and thought leaders from across the real estate industry. Our moderators will engage panelists and attendees in an interactive discussion centered on: the current state of the real estate capital markets, current macroeconomic trends in the real estate industry, the implications of ongoing political change at the federal, state and local levels, and the effects of continued financial turmoil on the real estate industry.

This year, we are thrilled to welcome Erskine Bowles as our conference keynote speaker. Bowles, the former co-chair with Alan Simpson on President Obama’s National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, is at the center of the national dialogue on what must be done to address America’s deficit crisis. Bowles, president emeritus of the University of North Carolina and former chief of staff under President Clinton, currently serves on the Boards of Morgan Stanley and Cousins Properties.
Joining Mr. Bowles is an exceptional roster of industry thought leaders and presenters who will discuss, in panel format, macro economic trends, the current – and future – state of the real estate capital markets, the implications of ongoing political and financial turmoil on the industry, and the impact of converging global markets.
